How to improve diagnostic quality

A conventional image requires subjective estimation of tumour size (left). Using SyMRI an automatic pre-selection is made of the intracranial volyme and brain tissue such as white matter (middle). Intuitive tooling is provided to quickly estimate the complete tumour volume in 3D.

SyMRI Diagnostics is an efficient and accurate tool which provides tissue characterization, segmentation and volume measurement. For the clinicians, this results in robust and extensive diagnostic information for monitoring patients over time. Using the SyMRI Qmap MRI sequence a measurement is performed on the patients’ physical properties, independent of the MRI scanner. Tissue can automatically be recognized and segmented into tissue maps, providing the total tissue volume. Intuitive tools assist the radiologist in marking out and measuring regions of interest.

Tissue characterization and segmentation can be used for example in the following diseases:

Multiple Sclerosis

  • Brain atrophy compared to previous measurement
  • Brain volume compared to healthy reference group
  • Lesion characterization
  • Lesion volume estimation (lesion load)

Cancer

  • Tumor characterization
  • Tumor volume estimation
  • Post-operation follow-up

Dementia

  • Brain atrophy compared to previous measurement
  • Brain volume compared to healthy reference group
  • Volume of white matter changes
  • Ventricular volume

Stroke

  • Stroke volume
